New Car Preparations are often overlooked. “It’s brand new! It shouldn’t need polishing!?” From day one, ensuring new cars are ready for the road with the best possible protection and finish throughout. You’d expect a new car to be delivered and presented with the utmost of care, boasting flawless paintwork and perfect in every way (with nothing to hide).

Unfortunately, this is rarely the case! We’ve seen it all. From resprayed panels on Ford’s, to sanding marks and machine buffer trails on Ferrari’s. Whether it’s a $10,000 city car or a $500,000 super car, it’s nice to be able to know the whole story.

Storage conditions, damage in transportation and at the factory and poor unskilled PDI preparation at the Dealership can lead to a whole array of defects and problem areas that may need addressing. Fine scratches, surface marring, factory induced sanding marks, machine holograms, bird lime etching, metallic fallout and lacquer “fish eyes” to name but a few.

 

Our New Car Detail typically takes 1-2 days (not 1-2 hours) and comprises of some of the industries’ finest tools, chemicals and Nano technology coatings; protecting your investment for up to 5 years with light maintenance. Giving paintwork unrivalled UV resistance, dirt repellency, easy clean and swirl resistance thanks to the state of the Ceramic Pro coatings. With our New Car Detail Extra’s Pack, alloy wheels are removed to be coated inside and out, exterior glass sealed with a durable rain repellent, interior upholstery treated to a scotchgard fabric protector and leather seats receiving a water-based dirt & dye transfer barrier. All in, the best start in life for your investment.

It is advised to ask the supplying Dealership not to touch the car prior to collection. No wash. No polish… This way, we reduce the need for costly paint correction services where fine scratches and swirls from bad contact could have easily been induced in the preparation stages.

ES STAGE ONE PAINT ENHANCEMENT

Designed for vehicles that don’t require full paint correction; a single stage machine polish given to bring the gloss and shine back to the paintwork without breaking the bank.

Light wash marring and surface scratches will deprive a vehicle’s appearance and present a dull, hazy lifeless finish. Using mild abrasives and a foam finishing pad, the Paint Enhancement Detail aims to remove the bulk of the swirling and present a much glossier, sharper and truer colour without spending 3-4 days chasing perfection. A great package for those new to Detailing and those working around a budget.

FULL PROCESS:

  • Alloy wheels cleaned; front facing, behind-spokes and inner-rim
  • Wheel arches flushed, door shuts cleaned
  • Extensive wash process using the two bucket system and pH neutral shampoo/foam
  • Tar deposits and iron rich/metallic contaminants chemically treated
  • Remaining surface contaminants removed with a claybar; leaving a slick, glass-like finish
  • Vehicle rinsed and dried with plush, ultra soft microfibre drying towels
  • Blown dry to remove trapped water and eliminate drips
  • A mild finishing polish used via machine to remove surface defects and lightly burnish the paintwork giving ultra-slick reflections and gloss
  • Single layer of synthetic paint sealant and/or carnauba wax applied (multi layers available at cost)
  • Trim/britework/tyres dressed and protected as necessary including tailpipes
  • Vehicle rinsed and dried with plush, ultra soft microfibre drying towels

ES STAGE TWO PAINT CORRECTION

A two stage machine polish is given to eliminate light swirls/scratches, oxidation and dull and hazy paintwork that is damaged over the years by poor wash technique, bad contact and strong chemicals.

The first machine polishing stage is a medium-strong cut compound used in conjunction with a polishing/cutting pad that restores the paint and removes up to >80% of the surface defects. The second set is a much milder pass to refine the finish and give the much desired ‘jewelled’ look.

This service is our most popular package; ideal for the enthusiast who likes to keep a defect free car all year round. Paint thickness removal is kept minimal during this detail allowing the process to be performed on an annual basis if needs be.

  • Vehicle re-washed to remove dust created from paint correction stage
  • Blown dry to remove trapped water and eliminate drips
  • Paintwork wiped over with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) to remove residues and oils leaving a slick, clean base
  • Single layer of synthetic paint sealant and/or carnauba wax applied
  • Trim/britework/tyres dressed and protected as necessary including tailpipes
  • Glass cleaned throughout

ES ULTIMATED PAINT CORRECTION

Delivers paintwork perfection; often leaving the finish better than its original showroom condition. Using a multitude of machine passes to safely remove heavier defects found on most vehicles (i.e. random deep scratches, bird etchings, body shop buffer trails and sanding marks) a Major Paint Correction Detail is perfect for the tired, lifeless car that requires a second lease of life.

Sometimes 100% correction isn’t always possible; compromise has to be made on areas with thin clear coat where it would be impractical to sacrifice lacquer and to run the risk of striking through. Also, as a general rule, scratches that you can ‘feel’ with your fingernail will usually require paint (However they can be visibly reduced by ‘rounding off’ the edges with correct machine technique).

Typically, over 95% correction will be met with a Major Paint Correction Detail and is guaranteed to transform your vehicle.
